Located only one hour drive from Brazil's largest city, São Paulo, Haras Vanguarda is a 500-acre farm that includes an Eco-Botanical Garden - a fascinating botanical project that replicates entire ecosystems from around the world - and a very successful Arabian horse breeding program.

Breeders from many countries are frequent visitors, searching for quality horses to bring to their places, like Van Muscatlina, U.S. National Top Ten Mare, Van Northerlei, U.S. National Champion in performance, Star Van Ryad, U.S. National Top Ten Mare, among others.

In Brazil, the scene is not different, since the farm is experiencing great results in the show ring. In the last four Brazilian Nationals the chief stallion of the farm, Ryad El Jamaal, achieved the largest number of halter Champions and Reserves of these shows.

Fábio Diniz de Ávila, who runs the Arabian operation, carefully combines the bloodlines of his group of mares, including daughters of Bey Shah, Ali Jamaal, Strike, El Shaklan and AAF Kaset, among others, with the stallions Ryad El Jamaal and his son, the twice Brazilian National Champion Rashid Van Ryad, producing horses with a lot of type and athletic abilities.

At Haras Vanguarda, visitors are always welcome.
